The Great Wall

The great wall was a magnificent site. It was kind of unbelievable being on site of so much history.
There are many places on the wall where tourists can view it. The best thing about the wall was the views of the mountains from it.
The stairs could be really steep at places and really shallow in others.
There were so many tourists on the wall, french, german, russian, etc.
It is amazing to see so many people from so many different countries coming to China and learning Chinese.
The best thing that happened was a very simple thing but very beautiful at the same time. Someone was flying a kite and it was just amazing to see how history has changed so much. We are on this wall that was built to protect China from the mongolians and there were warriors on it involved in war, and now it is place for tourists to fly kites on.

The other most exciting thing was that we tobogganed down the mountain when we were leaving the wall. We went on these little individual carts and there was a lever that we could control the break with and how fast or slow we went. We went down a metal track. It curved and winded down the mountain. I felt like I was in a video game, it was so much fun!
